In March I was connected with the owner of Brag Swag and asked to take a look at their shirts. They are a Virginia based company, but have lots of ties to the Pittsburgh area. In fact, they plan on being one of the many vendors setting up a booth at the upcoming Pittsburgh Marathon expo. Brag Swag designs and sells unique, but quality apparel for adults, kids and infants. In addition to the normal on-line store items, Brag Swag is a great place to go if you need a custom order created for a team or an event.
Brag Swag immediately sent me 2 v-neck women’s shirts. The only problem was is that Pittsburgh was currently on it’s 4th winter, so I didn’t get to show them off right away. Hopefully by the time marathon weekend rolls around, you can show off your Brag Swag shirt in style and we’re not in our 5th winter. Brag Swag asked me about sizing and I was really nervous about what size to get. Women’s t-shirt sizing is all over the place. I have some that I am a legit medium but then some I need a 2XL. I decided to go the safe route and just ask for a large and prayed it fit.
I was sent 2 different v-neck shirts to try out. One was a gray v-neck with the words “See Yinz at the Finish Line” and the other was a little more detailed with a PA map and a heart locating Pittsburgh saying “Burgh Bred”. While I am technically not “burgh bred”, Pittsburgh is absolutely home so I have zero guilt about wearing a shirt like this. In fact, it’s a great shirt to wear to a Philadelphia bar while the Penguins are crushing the Flyers, 7-0.
As for the fit? They fit perfectly! I am about 5’9″(ish) and not small chested, but these shirts were not too tight and not too loose. The other great thing is that they were on the longer side as well. They actually pulled down well and stayed down. For someone like me who is taller, I appreciate a longer shirt. The softness of the shirt was great and it has held up so far with a few washings. I threw mine in the dryer and had no issues with it shrinking either. As a heads up, they put their logo somewhere on the back of your shirt.
While they might be a VA based company, they get Pittsburgh and their Burgh Swag shows that. They have some new designs just for the Marathon Expo as well. The shirts are offered in women’s and men’s sizing and various regular cuts, v-necks and even a few tanks thrown in. This particular tank just cracks me up and it might need to come home with me from the expo.
The best part about me partnering up with Brag Swag is that they agreed to allow me to do a giveaway! Head over to my Instagram page to enter. The giveaway is live NOW until midnight on Sunday, April 22nd. One lucky follower will win their very own Brag Swag shirt. All rules are listed on the Instagram post. Good luck and remember, if you don’t end up the big winner this time, make sure you check them out at the expo! They have some great designs to share with all of the runners!
